Rajabboy Ahmadzoda had the meeting with the Extraordinary and Permanent Ambassador of India in Tajikistan, Viraj Singh, who is on his working trip in Sugd now.
According to the press service of the chairman of Sugd region, during the meeting, the head of the town informed the Indian ambassador about the current state of the economy and the existing opportunities for the development of this industry. It was noted that Tajikistan and India will be able to develop cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals, processing of cotton, cocoon, in the agricultural sector and in the cultural sector.
In turn, Virge Singh noted that the India is also interested in the development of bilateral relations and to expand the horizons of cooperation, all necessary measures are being taken to work together in the fields of education, health, industry and agriculture.
According to the press service, during their visit, the ambassador and the members of the delegation will visit Sugd Free Economic Zone and will discuss the ways how to develop cooperation with the leadership of the region’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
