By Sugd region villagers’ toilers was sawed 1613 hector of land with melon, current year. The watermelon field contains 3899 of hector.
In 2018 by the workers of agricultural sector of Sugd region was produced 108 thousand and sixty eight ton of melon and watermelon. This year, the product was sawed at 5570,5 hector of land. This was announced by press service of government’s head.
According to official data based, as the production is raising the quantum of export is going up as well. Also at the first six month of current year from Sugd region was exported 194 thousand and 857 ton of agricultural production to foreign countries. In comparison with analogous period of last year the product exportation increased at 24 thousand and 850 ton.
