EXTRAORDINARY ABILITIES OF THE YOUNG PROSPECT FROM TAJIKISTAN
Farshedi Shamsidin is an athlete and a great talent whose destiny has become an embodiment of struggle and a quest for victory. Raised in the traditions of Tajik culture, he dreamed of great achievements in the world of sports from childhood. His path to the top of MMA began in small gyms and training centers in Dushanbe.
It is important to note that Farshedi Shamsidin was in Turkey as an exchange student under the Erasmus program and studied at one of Istanbul’s most prestigious universities, Marmara University, where the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, once studied. As our athlete tells, he juggled his studies with professional sports, and it wasn’t easy. He commuted two hours each way to the training complex daily and returned home after training. These Spartan conditions only strengthened the spirit of our fighter and made him an extraordinary athlete with great ambitions. He trained under the guidance of the famous coach Azamat Gashimov, who is one of the pioneers of UFC alongside Khabib Nurmagomedov from Dagestan.
On the day of the tournament, Farshedi Shamsidin fought three MMA matches, winning all three by early stoppage, showcasing his extraordinary abilities. In the tournament final, he faced off against the renowned Turkish MMA fighter, Yunus Emre Ozden, and defeated him in the first round, setting a record for a first-round victory in just 42 seconds.
The next stage of the competition was the World Championship, but unfortunately, Farshedi Shamsidin could not participate in this competition due to not being a Turkish citizen. Farshedi Shamsidin’s transition to the global level of competition was a challenge, but it was in this challenge that he found his true strength. He was ready to take on challenges from the strongest opponents and prove his superiority in the arena, but unfortunately fate was against him competing in the World Championship.
The 2019 MMA Championship of Turkey was a trial that Farshedi Shamsidin embraced with an open heart and readiness to fight. In each bout, he demonstrated not only his physical skills but also his mental strength and determination. His victory in the final match became a historic moment not only for him personally but also for the entire Tajik nation.
