Upon completion of repairs, a bacteriological laboratory that has no analogues throughout the region will be commissioned at the Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance of the city of Khujand.

According to the head of the Khujand Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Center of the city of Khujand, Sulton Rakhmonzoda, the overhaul of the old building was held in honor of the 30th anniversary of state independence of the country.

According to Sulton Rahmonzod, the Center’s bacteriological laboratory will also be completely repaired, where more than 20 types of tests are performed. For this, 250 thousand somoni of funds have already been allocated from the city budget.

“In the second stage of repair work, the re-equipment of this laboratory is planned. New modern equipment will be installed in it, with the help of which it will be possible to conduct an accurate analysis and diagnosis of drinking water, food and catering points”, said Sulton Rahmonzoda.

The source also noted that the laboratory has no analogues in the territory of the Sughd region. She can serve 184 thousand people.

According to official figures, the total amount of repair work of the Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance of the city is about 430 thousand somoni.
