A gemology laboratory was opened at the Mining Institute of Tajikistan in Buston.

According to Parvizi Mashhur, a specialist in the information department of GMIT, the new laboratory was created on the basis of the former laboratory of the institute and is equipped with the latest technologies.

“Now residents and enterprises will be able to conduct analysis of precious stones or stones used for jewelry in the gemological laboratory of the GMIT and receive relevant information,” said Parvizi Mashhur.

Reference: Gemological examination of precious stones and jewelry with stones is a voluntary practice aimed at reliable consumer information and protection of bona fide participants in the jewelry market from unfair competition.
