After putting into operation the drinking water transmission line, 288 households of the Mehrobod jamoat got access to clean water.

The project for providing rural residents of the Carokazon village of the Jamoat of Mehrobod, Asht region, is being implemented at the initiative of the International Secretariat for Water Resources in Tajikistan in cooperation with residents of the jamaat.

According to the press service of the administration of Sughd region, with the introduction of the new line, 288 households of the Mehrobod jamaat of the Asht district were provided with clean drinking water. The customer of construction works is the International Secretariat for Water Resources in Tajikistan, which allocated 5 million somoni of funds. Also, residents of the jamaat contributed to the implementation of the project. To conduct the drinking water transmission line, the population collected 1,200,000 somoni.
